Saddleworth v Heyside U11's Indoor Tournament
A great start to the tournament for Saddleworth. Batting first, the first pair Luca Pemberton and Alfie Brazewell got straight in to the scoring and although lost a wicket scored an impressive 33 runs in their 2 overs. The next 2 overs slowed down and Heyside managed to keep the pair of Max Whitwam and Finlea Sullivan- Hadfield down to 9 after also losing a wicket. Our last pair of Daniel Jones and Elliott Lawrence blitzed their 2 overs with an unbeaten 57 runs. We closed on 309/2 (299 net).
Heyside’s innings got off to a very slow start thanks to very tight bowling from Daniel, Luca, Alfie and Elliott. Luca took 2 for 1 and Alfie 1 for 1. Heyside managed to get a few runs late on despite a wicket from Alice Holt in the last over but only managed 237/4 (217 net).
