Tonight Micklehurst's Richmond Hill looked a picture in the evening sun. The warm temperature meant unlike on Monday it was a pleasure to be on the side of the pitch watching what turned out to be a very good and close game. Sadd / Mick lost the toss and were put into bat and amassed a total of 270-6 (net score 246). A modest total really which meant we had to bowl and field well. We certainly did that and after the first 9 overs we had Austerlands in negative of the 200 start. The next 3 overs, the Austerlands experienced batters got into gear and quickly added runs to the board with 11, 12, 10 leaving the final pair in touch of victory. Fortunately for us they couldn't quite get over the line and fell 4 runs short with 262-5 (net score 242). Fantastic encouragement, support, and camaraderie from the whole team tonight.
